Vasiliki Papadopoulou

MSc Chemical Engineering,
Director of Planning and Management of European Programs

Papadopoulou Vasiliki was born and raised in Thessaloniki.

She studied at the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the Department of Chemical Engineering, graduating in 2001. She continued her studies with the Postgraduate Program “Environment and Sustainable Development” of the Department of Civil Engineering of the Polytechnic School of AUTH, which she successfully completed in 2002.

Her professional experience focused on the management and implementation of European co-financed projects with the main objective of environmental protection, natural disasters, climate change and the circular economy.

From 2003 to 2018 she collaborated with Sigma Consultants. During the 15 years she managed projects within the LIFE, Territorial Cooperation INTERREG, Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection, ERASMUS, INTELLIGENT ENERGY programs. Her work included all stages of project consception, development, implementation and financial management.

In March 2018, she assumed the duties of European Projects Coordinator at the Organization for Local Developemnt  ANATOLIKI SA, while from 2020 until today she is the Director of Planning and Management of European Programs of the Organization.

Her areas of concern were further expanded to include the subjects of sustainable tourism, rural development, energy transition and digital transition.

She has coordinated multiple corporate international schemes and has a wide network of partners at the European level.
