Spyros Stekoulis

G.I.S. Analyst

Born in Thessaloniki. He finished the Experimental School of the University of Thessaloniki. During his studies at the Chemistry Department of AUTH, he was taught computer programming and IT. He worked for 15 years in the private sector, in the graphic arts – with a particular focus on the design and preparation of printed maps, for educational and tourist use. Later, attending seminars on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), he was certified as user of ESRI software (Arc/info, Arc/Map, web arcGis, etc.).

At ANTOLIKI he was initially hired as the head of the GIS office, and very quickly took over the support of its IT infrastucture.

He has participated in European ICT projects (e.g. e-health) and cloud computing for Local Government, in water resources management projects (implementation of Directive 60/2000) and integrated soil management, as well as in renewable energy dissemination and energy saving projects in tourism sector, management/integration of immigrants in local communities, etc.

It also participates in nationally co-financed projects – mainly, in recent years, of support and optimal waste management – especially in the recycling of packaging and other recyclable products and materials at municipal level. He also participates in actions to inform and raise awareness among students about recycling and optimal waste management in schools in the Central Macedonia Region.

For two years (2013-2015) he was member of the Board of directors of the Hellenic Recycling Organization, as a representative of the Ministry of Environment

He is responsible for the procedures of ISO 9001:2015 Management System, for which ANATOLIKI S.A. is certified.
