Municipal Officers Certified in Climate Adaptation and Sustainability

ANATOLIKI S.A., partner in the STEP2CleanPlan project (INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin), successfully completed the 3-month training and mentoring program titled “Adaptation to Climate Change and Mitigation of its Impacts in Local Government.”

From June 11 to September 17, 2025, ten (10) staff members from the municipalities of Kalamaria, Thermi, Pylaia–Chortiatis, Neapoli–Sykies, Delta, Oraiokastro, and the Region of Central Macedonia participated in a 72-hour blended learning program. The training combined in-person sessions, online meetings, and asynchronous learning, and was supported by two expert mentors.

The participants gained essential knowledge and skills in adaptation and mitigation strategies, sustainable mobility, energy efficiency, and greenhouse gas emissions monitoring.

Upon completion of the program, and after passing examinations, all participants received an official certification recognized by the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD).

The program was implemented in collaboration with the Lifelong Learning Center “ANAVATHMISI”.
