Eleftheria Pita graduated from the School of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 1996, she obtained her professional license.
She attended programs such as “Career Guidance Counselors,” “Training of the Staff of the Social Support Services Network for the Promotion of Employment and Empowerment of Vulnerable Groups,” “Development of the Efficiency of Services in Supporting Socially Disadvantaged Groups,” and “Information – Training Cycle for Staff of Support Structures for Migrants and Refugees.”
In 2000, she worked in the “Psychosocial Support Team of Provincial Type 2” department of the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki, providing diagnostic and psychotherapeutic treatment to patients and coordinating community education programs.
Since April 2003, she has been working at ANATOLIKI S.A., Organization for Local Development, as a psychologist/career guidance counselor, providing:
- School counseling services and implementing psychosocial support programs for pupils, parents, and teachers
- Experiential learning activities and skills development training workshops for children and adults
- Short-term psychological and counseling support and employee counseling services for residents of ANATOLIKI’s shareholding municipalities
- Participating as a project team member in European projects, national action plans, and local government initiatives on empowering vulnerable populations, entrepreneurs, and employees.
In 2007, she was included in the Sub-register of Basic and Supplementary Social Services Officers of the National Accreditation Center for Continuing Vocational Training (E.KE.PIS.).
She has been an invited speaker at several awareness-raising workshops and events on psychosocial issues.
