The partnership of the Interreg Euro-Med project “MedSeaRise” met in Barcelona!

The 4th project  meeting of the MedSeaRise, within the framework of the Interreg Euro-Med programme, was successfully held on October 2–3, 2025, at the headquarters of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. ANATOLIKI S.A. was represented by Ms. Vasiliki Papadopoulou, General Director of ANATOLIKI S.A. and Project Manager of the project, as well as Ms. Eleni Iordanidou, Communication Manager of the project.

On the first day, Ms. Alicia Casart, Director of the Infrastructure Department of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the partners with a brief address, presenting the Chamber’s activities and objectives. Afterwards, the Project Manager referred to project management issues and outlined the next steps for the final semester of implementation.

The remainder of the day focused on the presentation of each partner’s case studies, the results achieved so far, the challenges encountered, and the planning of the upcoming meetings with stakeholders.
The Greek case study was successfully presented by ANATOLIKI S.A.’s external collaborators from Democritus University of Thrace, Dr. Christos Makris and Dr. Giannis Androulidakis.

On the second day, discussions focused on the project deliverables. The Work Package leaders presented the upcoming steps and the goals to be achieved until project completion.
The contribution of the Natural Heritage Mission was also significant, as they participated with two representatives each day, providing valuable advice and feedback to the partnership.

The meeting concluded with a presentation by the Communication Manager on the forthcoming dissemination activities, followed by an open discussion on the key points raised during the two-day event.

The MedSeaRise project began in January 2024 and will be completed in March 2026. Its aim is to assess the risks arising from sea level fluctuations, in order to strengthen effective adaptation to future marine conditions.
