The 3rd project partners’ meeting of the Interreg Euro-Med MedSeaRise, was successfully completed on April 2-3, 2025, at the University of Malta. ANATOLIKI S.A. was represented at the meeting by Ms. Vasiliki Papadopoulou, Director of European Programs and Project Manager of the MedSeaRise, and Ms. Eleni Iordanidou, Communication Manager of the project.
On the first day, the partners’ meeting focused on presenting the progress of their work on designated case studies, exchanging technical knowledge, and discussing the next steps. Moreover, they discussed the issues and difficulties encountered during the search for available data. The day concluded with a stroll through the narrow streets of Valletta.
On the second day, a representative from Malta’s Energy and Water Agency (EWA) provided valuable insights into the country’s available water sources, analyzed advanced water management technologies such as desalination, and discussed the energy demands of these technologies. Additionally, Ms. Vera Bouyiouri from the Natural Heritage Mission participated in the meeting, monitoring the project’s progress and presented the initiatives and actions of the Mission, as well as potential synergies with MedSeaRise..
The MedSeaRise project began in January 2024 and will be completed in March 2026. Its primary objective is to assess the risks associated with sea level fluctuations to develop effective adaptation strategies for future marine conditions.
