On 23 and 24 September 2026, the fourth in-person two-day training programme organised by ANATOLIKI S.A. was successfully held at the YMCA (XANTH) building in Thessaloniki, within the framework of the Interreg VI-B NEXT Black Sea Basin project QUEST (Quadruple Helix-Based Enhancement of Stakeholders at Black Sea Territory). This training concludes the project’s first cycle of in-person training activities, which enabled staff of institutions and organisations to strengthen their capacity to identify, prepare for and make use of funding opportunities, with particular emphasis on European programmes (such as Interreg, Erasmus+, LIFE and Horizon) and the blue economy.
The training brought together representatives of municipalities, universities and research organisations, NGOs and businesses from Thessaloniki and the wider region, confirming the strong interest in access to national and European funding.
The training was delivered by the project team of ANATOLIKI S.A., Tassos Chatzieleftheriou, Renia Gkountiou, Eleftheriou Pita and Marita Papagianni. It was based on the educational material jointly developed with the QUEST partners, adapted to meet the local needs of the participants. It covered topics ranging from an introduction to project management and an overview of national and European funding instruments, to the analysis of calls for proposals, budget planning, and the building of partnerships and consortia.
