The online interregional meeting of the INTERREG Europe project DESICE – Enhancing Circular Economy through Innovative Design was successfully held on Monday, 30 March 2026, with the participation of all project partners.
During the first part of the meeting, the progress of the activities completed in the past semester was discussed, along with the planning of upcoming actions for the next semester. The meeting was coordinated by ANATOLIKI S.A. A.O.T.A., as the lead partner of the project.
Subsequently, the partners Thessaloniki Municipality and UPI Emilia-Romagna presented the results of the meetings (peer reviews) they conducted within the framework of influencing their policy instruments. These meetings were carried out in collaboration with the project partners EROV and Association of Municipalities of Tartu County, respectively, as well as with the owners of their selected good practices. The main objective of this process is the integration of these good practices into the regions of Thessaloniki Municipality and Emilia-Romagna and, consequently, into the respective policy instruments.
The second part of the meeting focused on the analysis of the final thematic area of the project. Specifically, the partners are focusing on identifying good practices originating from new cooperation programmes related to circular design, with particular emphasis on innovative approaches and practical solutions that can be transferred and adapted to different regional contexts. At the same time, the criteria for selecting these practices, as well as the next steps for their evaluation and utilization by the partnership, were discussed.
This online meeting marked another important step towards strengthening cooperation among DESICE project partners and promoting the circular economy through innovative design at the European level.
