Interreg Europe PROACTsme Dissemination Event in Warsaw

On 15–16 September 2026, the Dissemination Event of the European project Interreg Europe PROACTsme – Applied Data-Science and AI for proactive SME service was held in Warsaw. The event was organised by the project partners, the Marshal’s Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship (Region of Mazovia) and the Mazovia Development Agency. On behalf of ANATOLIKI S.A., Project Manager Dr Naya Tselepi took part in the event.

The programme opened with presentations on the evaluation of the project’s results by the Lead Partner from Catalonia (Office of Business Management, Generalitat de Catalunya) and on the support provided by Interreg Europe and its Policy Learning Platform by the Interreg Joint Secretariat. Thematic contributions by Polish authorities followed, on building the Artificial Intelligence ecosystem, mapping the engagement of policymakers, and adapting public employment services. A central part of the event was the panel discussion “From good practices to policy change – scaling proactive services for SMEs in Europe”.

In her intervention, the ANATOLIKI representative addressed: (a) the achievements of the three-year project — foremost the drafting of a complete Technical Specification for a new, demand-driven support service for the SMEs of the Region of Central Macedonia, inspired by the Catalan good practice ‘Help Empresa’; and (b) the planning of the next steps. In her contribution, Dr Tselepi also drew on the findings of the recent survey of small businesses in Central Macedonia, conducted with the support of the T.C.C.I., underlining the businesses’ key message: the need for a modern digital support tool that retains human contact.

The event concluded with a summary and closing remarks, followed by the project’s Steering Group meeting.

The PROACTsme project aims to improve policy instruments that strengthen e-governance capacities and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by leveraging Data Science and Artificial Intelligence tools, in order to enhance business competitiveness and upgrade the administrative capacity of public authorities.
