ANATOLIKI S.A. at the 4th LIFE SMART Coordination Meeting in Seville

ANATOLIKI S.A., Organization for Local Authority ,actively participated in the 4th Coordination Meeting of the European LIFE SMART project, which took place on December 2 and 3, 2025, in Seville, Andalusia, hosted by the Federación Andaluza de Municipios y Provincias (FAMP) – a partner in the project. Representatives of all partners from Greece, Portugal, Italy, and Spain had the opportunity to discuss in detail the progress of the actions, present the progress of the work, and coordinate the next steps until the end of the project.

During the first day, Vasiliki Papadopoulou, General Manager of ANATOLIKI S.A. and project coordinator, presented the project’s progress and financial management. Alongside her, Eleftheriadis Ioannis and Hatzieleftheriou Anastasios also represented ANATOLIKI S.A., giving thematic presentations on the actions implemented by the organization in the municipalities of Volvi and Aristotelis. This was followed by interventions from all partners on the progress of activities, as well as a discussion on the challenges, technical requirements, and cooperation between the agencies. The organizations presented the progress and planning of actions, emphasizing support for the energy transition of small municipalities and targeted studies of energy interventions in municipal buildings. At the same time, the sustainability plan of the five inter-municipal technical structures created through the project for the design and management of inter-municipal energy projects was discussed, as well as strengthening the “energy literacy” of the actors involved, with the aim of ensuring their informed participation in clean energy actions.

On the second day, the Steering Committee meeting was held, where the project results to date, performance indicators, and issues requiring further coordination were discussed. The final report and the planning of the final conference were also discussed, with an emphasis on the dissemination of results and the impact of actions on local communities. The meeting concluded with an open discussion among the partners and a visit to Cartuja Qanat, an innovative sustainable urban development project in Seville, which is an example of the implementation of climate change adaptation solutions.
