The two-day training “Project Development and Access to National & International Funds”, organized by ANATOLIKI S.A. – Organisation for Local Development within the framework of the Interreg VI-B NEXT Black Sea Basin – QUEST (Quadruple Helix-Based Enhancement of Stakeholders at Black Sea Territory) project, was successfully held on 15- 16 September 2026 at the Chamber of Xanthi. QUEST aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of stakeholders in the Black Sea Basin to access funding and develop project proposals, with particular emphasis on the blue economy and cooperation among the public sector, businesses, academia and civil society (quadruple helix).
The event in Xanthi marked the third stop of this training initiative organised by ANATOLIKI S.A., following the previous editions in Thessaloniki and Kavala. Its objective was to strengthen the knowledge and skills of local stakeholders and businesses in project development and in accessing national and European funding opportunities.
The training brought together representatives of Municipalities, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Universities, NGOs and Social Cooperative Enterprises, as well as businesses from Xanthi and the wider Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, highlighting the strong interest of the local and regional community in accessing European funding opportunities.
The two-day training covered key aspects of project management and development, identification of funding opportunities, call analysis, proposal preparation and submission, budget planning, and partnership development within the framework of European programmes. Emphasis was also placed on the blue economy and the opportunities for developing and exploiting relevant project ideas.
The next training session will be held on 23 and 24 September 2026 at the YMCA in Thessaloniki.
