On May 24 and 25, 2026, the final partner meeting of the Interreg Euro-MED REPair PERspective (REPper) project took place in Bologna, Italy, marking the completion of 33 months of collaboration among 10 partners from 8 Mediterranean countries. As part of the event,the 3rd Repair Festival <\/strong>was also organized, a major celebration dedicated to repair,the circular economy, and sustainable consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival brought together representatives from organizations,educational institutions, professionals, and citizens, combining thematic discussions, presentations of best practices, and hands-on repair workshops for bicycles, textiles, and small electrical appliances. Through its activities, the festival highlighted the role of repair not only as an environmental practice but also as a social tool that strengthens the local economy and citizen participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, the significant results of the REPper project were presented, such as the development of local Repair Hubs, the participation of over 2,000 people in pilot training sessions on repair and the circular economy, as well as awareness-raising initiatives that “brought” consumers closer to the idea of repair as a sustainable choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3rd Repair Festival served as the perfect culmination of the partners’ joint efforts, confirming that repair is not just about restoring objects, but also about shifting mindsets toward more sustainable ways of producing, consuming, and living.<\/p>\n\n\n
