Goal:
The Repair Festival aims to highlight repairing as an act of everyday resistance to waste, promoting a more responsible, creative, and sustainable attitude towards consumption. Through activities for adults and children, dialogues, and collaborations, the festival supports the transition to a low-waste society while showcasing the benefits of repairing.
Another objective of the festival is to inspire citizens to acquire repair skills, encouraging active participation.


Program

→ Informative Conference (10:00 – 14:00) with participation from:

  • Policy makers
  • Representatives of the academic community
  • Industry professionals
  • Repair experts presenting good practices

→ Repair Workshops (10:00 – 14:00). Thematic Units & Facilitators:
Repair workshops for adults, where participants will learn how to fix everyday items with the help of experts:

  • Clothes & Accessories – Basic repair skills

The Repair Festival is organized within the framework of the REPair PERspective (REPper) project, co-financed by the Interreg Euro-Med 2021–2027 program. ANATOLIKI SA and FoDSA CM are project partners. All 10 project partners from 8 different countries will also be present at the Festival.

International Repair Day was first launched in 2017 by the Open Repair Alliance, a coalition of organizations promoting repair as an essential environmental and social necessity. It is now celebrated annually worldwide, aiming to bring global communities together, reduce the human footprint on the planet, foster new skills, and much more.
