On Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 18:30 to 20:30, the 2nd Repair Café took place in the welcoming space of the KYKLOS workshop in Ano Poli. The theme of the event focused on the repair of clothing and textiles, highlighting reuse and a circular approach in the textile sector.

A total of 22 citizens and professionals from the fields of creative recycling and sewing gathered to explore practical methods for repairing textile products. The event provided a great opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and creative ideas aimed at reducing waste and extending the life of garments.

The workshop was coordinated by the teams from incommon and ANATOLIKI S.A., along with a specialized facilitator in textile repair. The facilitator presented basic sewing techniques, how to mend tears, replace buttons, and creatively alter garments. Participants were invited to bring their own clothes for repair, practice on the spot, and use tools provided by the lending toolbox.

This initiative sparked a new mindset around the circular economy — where items are given a second life and knowledge is shared. The positive atmosphere and active participation clearly showed that there is a growing demand for more initiatives like this in the future.

Stay tuned for the next Repair Café!
