Eleni Dellaporta, Head of the Department of Operational Planning and Research Programs at the Directorate of Development Planning, Monitoring and IT of the Central Macedonia Waste Management Authority (FODSA), presented the European project Interreg Euro-MED REPper (Repair Perspective) and the first Greek REPper HUB for repair and restoration on the POLIS GREEN program of the municipal TV channel TV 100.
The POLIS GREEN program, under the motto “Changing habits. Thinking ecologically,” is curated and hosted by journalist Nikos Avoukatos and focuses on highlighting everyday environmental issues and strengthening citizens’ environmental awareness.
During the presentation, the goals and actions of the project were analyzed, along with the operating framework of the first Greek REPper HUB, which is part of the European network of 8 HUBs under the program. This Greek REPper HUB will serve as a collaborative hub for startups and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as professionals in the field of textile (clothing and footwear), furniture, and other object repairs.
As part of the project’s activities, a “Repair Festival” is scheduled to be organized by FODSA Central Macedonia and ANATOLIKI S.A. in October 2025, coinciding with International Repair Day. The event will be open to the public and will include workshops, demonstrations, informational and awareness-raising activities aimed at promoting repair and restoration.
