3rd Interregional Meeting and Learning Event of the project RUMORE, was organized on May 15-17, 2018 by the Region of Lombardy in Milan
ANATOLIKI S.A. and the Region of Central Macedonia participated in the 3rd Interregional Meeting and Learning Event of the project RUMORE, which is co-financed by the INTERREG EUROPE Program. The interregional meeting was organized on May 15-17, 2018 by the Region of Lombardy in Milan.
In the framework of the 3-day meeting, an informative workshop was organized for the presentation of good practices in the field of rural-urban cooperations and practices by the basic stakeholders involved in the Local Support Group of the Lobardy Region. Additionally, five more projects, funded by INTERREG Europe and other EU programs, were presented since they relate to the thematic of RUMORE. The representatives of the Local Support Groups of the other Regions that participate in the project had also the chance to present their own good practices. For the Region of Central Macedonia, Mrs Paraskevi Tarani and Mr. Dimitris Katsantonis presented the examples of the AgroDesign Cluster and the Helenic Agricultural Organisation “DIMITRA”, respectively.
During the meeting three study visits also took place in certain suburban areas of Milan, which represent case studies and good practices for the Region of Lombardy, in the framework of RUMORE project. The first study visit concerned an area by the Olona River banks where rural-urban interventions for the environmental requalification and land scape layout are realized. Further on, the participants visited the Rice and Frogs rural district where the so-called rice is being produced with a “Certified DNA” quality. Finally, the participants had the chance to take a tour in the agrotouristic farm “Cascina Forestina” and see in close practices of organic and social farming.
ANATOLIKI S.A participates in the consortium of RUMORE project in cooperation with the Region of Central Macedonia. The Lead Partner of the project is the HafenCity University from Hamburg. The consortium comprises 8 partners from 5 different EU countries. RUMORE aims to improve the policies in the field of regional strategies for innovation, through facilitating the achievement of rural-urban collaborations and synergies.
