The Awareness Raising Campaign, of “Change the Power- (Em)Power to Change: Local Authorities towards SDGs and Climate Justice” project in the Thematic Week of Information and Awareness on Democratic Co-existence and Human Rights.
Anatoliki S.A. offered an awareness raising session about “Consumerism” to the students of the 3rd Gymnasium of Ampelokipoi, Thessaloniki, in the context of the Information and Awareness Raising Thematic Week on “Democratic co-existence and Human Rights”, organized during the school year 2018-2019. The thematic week run in Greek high schools upon the initiative taken by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. About 200 students of the Gymnasium’s three grades participated in the educational event which took place in May 2019, 22nd & 23rd by Mrs Rizopoulou, Educational Expert-responsible for the Information and Awareness Raising Programs , Anatoliki S.A.
After the presentation, students and the Educational Expert discussed about consumerism and its impact on human beings and the environment. The Awareness Raising Campaign posters of “Change the Power (Em)Power to Change: Local Authorities towards SDGs and Climate Justice” project, co-funded by the European Union, were a useful tool for conducting the presentations. Posters became the motive for discussion and attracted student’s interest.
