2nd CONNECTION PROJECT WORKSHOP - TURIN, OCTOBER 2021
The second workshop of the CONNECTION project, funded by the EU and its’ financial tool AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund), took place in Turin, Italy, on October 11-14, 2021.
The workshop, in the framework of the first Community of Practice, refers to the "elaboration of strategies for social integration of refugees / migrants in local communities". A representative of ANATOLIKI SA (project partner) from Greece participated, as well representatives of the collaborating Municipality of Thessaloniki and the beneficiary Municipality of Delta.
During the workshop, the Municipality of Turin presented the main pillars of the municipal integration policies, the relevant structures, the synergies with civil society actors and also some voluntary initiatives that all aim in the smooth inclusion of third country nationals in the local society.
There was a tour in different locations in the city where reception and integration programs are implemented, regarding different categories of beneficiaries (unaccompanied minors, families and single adults).
The CONNECTION project is coordinated by the Brussels-based network EUROCITIES, with the participation of the NGO Migration Work, from the UK, as an expert / technical consultant.
